VWAP Bands

Overview

VWAP Bands, based on the Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP), are dynamic support and resistance levels calculated using standard deviation around the VWAP. They are widely used to understand market trends, reversals, and overbought/oversold conditions.

How to Access VWAP Bands in GoCharting

  1. Open your desired chart on GoCharting.
  2. Navigate to the Indicators menu at the top of the interface.
  3. Locate the Orderflow category in the dropdown list.
  4. Click on VWAP Band from the list to add it to your chart.

  • Customizable Standard Deviation Levels: Adjust the number of standard deviations to widen or narrow the bands.

Interpretation

  • Upper Band: Represents overbought levels where price may reverse downward.
